Ear Myoclonus Info

Myoclonus, as described by Wikipedia, is brief, involuntary twitching of a muscle or a group of muscles. Ear myoclonus is not surprisingly spasms in the muscles of the ear. As related to tinnitus, these muscle spasms typically occur in the middle ear, involving the stapedia and tensor tympani. It can also be called idiopathic stapedial muscle spasm or tensor tympani syndrome and falls under the general categories of tinnitus or hyperacusis.
