What is ear myoclonus?

Myoclonus, as described by Wikipedia, is brief, involuntary twitching of a muscle or a group of muscles. Ear myoclonus is, not surprisingly, spasms in the muscles of the ear. As related to tinnitus, these muscle spasms occur in the middle ear, involving the stapedia and tensor tympani.
